Boboli Gardens — Florence Visit Guide
About this place
Historic formal gardens behind Pitti Palace with paths, sculptures and terraces.
What to see and do
Choose a short circuit with garden views and seating rather than trying to see everything.
Self-guided walking tour · about 70 minutes
Follow these suggested stops at your own pace. This is a flexible guide rather than a booked guided tour.
- Enter near Pitti Palace and decide on a short loop with staff using the official garden map.
- Visit the Amphitheatre area if the ground conditions are comfortable.
- Continue only as far uphill as feels manageable, pausing at available benches.
- Retrace your way towards an appropriate exit; do not attempt the full garden circuit.
Easier option: November closing time is 4:30 pm with last entry one hour beforehand. Most paths slope and have gravel or clay; the planned 2:30–4:30 pm visit should be shortened.

Guided garden tour option and approximate cost
An advertised two-hour guided small-group Boboli Gardens tour is around €170 per person (€340 for two). This is an expensive option for a short visit, and it involves substantial walking on slopes. An independent garden admission booked ahead costs €13 each (€26 for two), or use the Pitti + Boboli combined ticket if visiting both.
