Optional guided visits and costs

Official cathedral guided visit: the Duomo organisation advertises an indoor cathedral tour lasting less than one hour with no stairs to climb, normally Tuesday–Thursday at 11:00. Cost €17 each / €34 for two, subject to booking availability. It would replace some of your scheduled free exploration. The guided dome climb is €50 each and is not recommended as the easy option.

Santa Croce: staff-led guided tours may be bookable but the price needs checking for your date. As a lower-cost alternative, admission is €10 each plus an official audio guide at €4 each online or €6 onsite: approximately €28–€32 for two.

Comfort note

Consider skipping the bell tower climb to save energy. Important: Tuesday 3 November is the first Tuesday of the month, when the Opera del Duomo Museum is normally closed; the Baptistery ceiling mosaics are currently obscured by restoration.

Times, distances and prices come from the original holiday plan. Recheck opening hours, tickets and transport before visiting.
